HIPSTERMATIC IN ST. PETERSBURG
After 30 days and 4000 kilometers we reached our last stop of the tour, Saint Petersburg.
Getting out of our train at our destination was a little different in St. Petersburg: no one came to pick us up, there were no commitments and no obligations. Which resulted in a ton of clubbing and trying to get lost in the city centre.
Through Stas Provotorov we knew of a hostel, which is well known for being the craziest hostel in the region. It's supposed to be the place where everyone goes to party and where people openly smoke weed. Which is kind of a big deal in Russia, as Russian law is quite harsh towards hash. But we fully missed out on all of that. The hostel was fully empty. We were there during the off-season.
We filled our days with sleeping, eating, trying to get lost, souvenir hunting, the Hermitage and we managed to skate with some of the guys from Mild skateboards. Our new filmer friend Anton took us along to a new spot and one of our new friends got a trick done on film.
Most of the nights we went clubbing till 6 am. Even on sunday. We found a kind of party district with the type of clubs we usually don't attend. But as we didn't know where else to go and without anybody to show us where we could go, we had no option. As always our presence turned out to be a big deal and we were the life of the party as soon as we entered.
On the fourth day in Saint Petersburg we flew back to Amsterdam.
